No one takes a selfie at their worst.

I didn't love welding the first time. I absolutely hated it. The smell of burned cut-off wheels and dust getting into every orifice. The greasy coating on the steel put a constant grime on my hands and clothing. Looking back, I realized I hated it because of my failure to see the potential in the medium.

Not having to face the alarm at 3:45am every morning has been pretty liberating. Categorically placing daily tasks upon waking, however, comes with some challenges.

As a chef, I can appreciate the ease of having all of my ingredients set out before assembling. There is a side of the cupboard dedicated to small bowls, ramekins, and even sake glasses for placing all the measured things. Assuming nothing would be left to whim with these calculated elements is, however, an understatement. At least with my style anyways.
